When does a bespoke solution make sense?

When a standard product can't do the job without compromise — in awkward angles, narrow rooms, old houses, new extensions that need to speak the same language as existing built-ins. Or when you want something that simply isn't on a shelf anywhere.

Examples

Built-in shelving that extends existing pieces in the same spirit. Custom sliding doors in solid mahogany. Slatted partitions that divide rooms without closing off the light. Hidden storage behind veneer with an unbroken grain run. Bathroom furniture in oak veneer with an oil that tolerates a wet room.

What it asks of the process

More time at the beginning. Often a site visit, one or two drawing rounds, and a conversation that continues until the solution sits properly. We only take on a bespoke project if we're confident we can do it well.
